As you can see, I’ve done some winter cleaning for the site. I won’t bore anyone with the technical details, I just want to say that I tested the new design in as many browsers and setups as possible, and I hope it’s easier to navigate. A lot of the content on the static pages needs updating now, and thats next on my list.
Below are some articles, resources, and blog posts that were instrumental in this process.
- Complete in Him font - used for the post-it note up top.
- A tutorial for created the aforementioned post-it note by the PhotoshopGuru’s handbook.
- Simple Bits tutorial for creating CSS based image navigation.
- Alex King’s popularity plugin was used for the sidebar.
- Eric Meyer’s guide to simple separators, also used for the sidebar.
- I also took into consideration Chris Garret’s sidebar advice.
Constructive criticism welcome. Destructive criticism marginally accepted.

Looks great, man! The post-it is a great personal touch - have you thought about making a few different ones and letting them rotate randomly?

Thanks Ryan!
I wanted the “Hire” part to really stick out because, well, freelancing is my bread and butter. I am a big fan of rotating random images, phrases, etc… and wanted to figure it in somewhere on this design, but I felt I couldn’t find a spot.
